About Me

I have been collecting Japanese match box labels since 1997. My interest in the subject has led me to research the history of the Japanese match industry and the history of the match label collecting in Japan.

My biggest collection is by far the Japanese trade mark match box labels, but recently I'm focusing my search for woodblock printed match labels.

I also collect Japanese match safes, match holders, matchbook holders, and basically anything related to the Japanese match industry.

The trade mark labels (stone and copper plate lithography prints) collection is sorted by factory location (districts and cities), manufacturer name and if no such information available, by topic.

The woodblock printed match labels are sorted by sets and collectors names.

I also have in my collection, posters, wrappers, matchbook skillets, war issues and propaganda, tobacco match labels, match labels sets, documents and photos.
